Flickr love: Bunny Jenny

Long time since I don’t recommend you any good photographers. Partly cause I haven’t been checking Flickr at all and partly cause photographers post way too much nudity over there. Anyway, I stumble upon this girls photos on various places and was happy to find her flickr account last week. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen at least one of these girl’s photos on tumblr or some place else! The photos of her and her boyfriend are the most popular and they’re indeed beautiful!

This week…

+ Wow! This week was crazy! I hate admitting but I’m the kind of person that likes to have the control of things and know where things are going. Everything happened differently from what I expected this week and although some parts were fun other parts got me quite insecure. Too introspective right? hehehe!

+ Neil Slorance made a 5 tips for finding inspiration with drawings and all. Very useful and pretty to look at.

+ I’m in love with all the cards from this so LittleSketchyCards on Etsy <3

+ Finished reading Shiver on Monday. It has love and paranormality (everything I girl could ask for right) and although the description of Sam doesn’t match to my imaginary Sam I’ll continue to imagine him as Steven Strait anyway. #repressedJacobfeelings

+ Birthday was good on Wednesday. I had my first surprise party with purple balloons and everything!

+ Dad gave me money for present and I have no idea what I want to buy. I want a horse but I don’t think I have enough to buy one hehehe!

+ I’m was looking for pretty ideas to decorate my bedroom and stumbled upon Christina Aguilera’s house photos. Honestly? I didn’t like her house. There’s so much information. I feel suffocated just by looking.

Book review: Shiver

Book: Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, book 1)

Author: Maggie Stiefvater

I’ve read a review of this book and it seemed the kind of book I’d like to read. I wouldn’t judge it by the cover cause I think this cover quite childish and…not good enough. Brazilian’s cover is quite pretty though.

The first thing that kept my attention is that the book has two first-person narrators, Grace and Sam, so it never gets boring. Sam is a werewolf that spends the winter as a wolf and summer in his human form. The wolves in this story transform themselves when it gets too cold. And Grace is just the normal girl with family problems and a fascination for wolves and one yellow-eyed wolf in particular that always whatches her from the forest outside her house.

Shiver is mostly a love story than a paranormal tale and leaves a lot more to be told in Linger (which I already began reading). I missed reading a book that made me want to read it all the time and Shiver definitely has that I-NEED-TO-KNOW-WHAT’S-HAPPENING-NEXT factor.

It’s inevitable comparing it with Twilight cause it’s quite similar to it in its light reading, clever dialogues and paranormal tales. If you liked Twilight you’ll probably enjoy reading this as well. I did enjoy it and can’t wait to review next Maggie’s book here!

Livro: Calafrio

Eu li uma resenha desse livro e me pareceu o tipo de livro que eu gostaria de ler. Eu não julgaria o livro pela capa se eu fosse vocês porque essa capa me parece tão infantil e… não boa o bastante. Mas a capa de Calafrio aqui no Brasil é bem legal.

A primeira coisa que me achamou atenção no livro é o fato de existirem dois narradores, Grace e Sam, e por essa razão a dinâmica é interessante e os capítulos nunca ficam chatos. Sam é um lobisomem que passa o inverno como lobo e o verão em sua forma humana. Os lobos nesta história se transformam quanto o clima fica frio. Já Grace é apenas uma garota normal com problemas na família e um fascínio por lobos especialmente um lobo de olhos amarelos que sempre a observa da floresta próxima à sua casa.

Calafrio é mais uma história de amor que um conto paranormal que deixa muita história para ser contada no próximo livro Linger (que eu já comecei a ler). Eu estava sentindo falta de ler um livro que me fizesse querer lê-lo o tempo todo e Shiver definitivamente tem esse fator EU-QUERO-SABER-O-QUE-VAI-ACONTECER-AGORA.

É inevitável não compará-lo a Crepúsculo porque eles são bem similares na leitura leve, nos dialogos inteligentes e nos contos paranormais. Se você gostou de Twilight irá provavelmente curtir esse livro também. Eu gostei bastante e não vejo a hora de acabar de ler Linger pra escrever outra resenha aqui!

Music is what feelings sound like

When I like a song I listen to it over and over and over again. So often I find myself listening to the same songs for such a long period of time that I start to desperately want to listen to something new. Though Stereomood needs to improve their design and functionality it has shown to be the best place to discover new music. But the greatest thing of all in this site is that you’re able to choose what to hear depending on the mood you currently in or that you want to get. You can also connect it to your last.fm account, create playlists, share music and etc.

Pretty summerish look

Weather in Brazil is c-r-a-z-y. We’re on Winter and sometimes it’s really cold but on other times is hot during the day and cold by the night. It varies from day to day and we never know what to expect. I kind of like it cause I love that I can wear summer clothes one day then heavy winter clothes on the next day. It never gets boring!

Today was quite warm so I made a pretty summerish look. How’s weather right now where you live?

Come out of the shade

This is one of my favourite songs to add on a fanmixes. It has a soothing melody and great lyric. Too bad they didn’t even make and effort to make a good video. But oh well the greatest bands suck at music videos anyway!

Accessories that look like a dream

I’m not the one to wear a lot of accessories at once. I like wearing one or two pieces that I really like and generally they outward my mood or a message I want to send to whoever sees me.

Accessories are pretty important to me (I realized that in a hard way since I can’t wear anything at the place I’m working at the moment!) and I’m more than happy to find places like Laços de Filó! Laços de Filó is an online store that sells handmade almost exclusive accessories. Everything there looks like a dream and I just want to have it all. I’ll post some of my favourites :)

Eu não sou de usar muitos acessórios ao mesmo tempo. Eu gosto de usar um ou dois que eu realmente goste e que reflita meu humor e a mensagem que eu quero passar.

Acessórios são muito importantes pra mim (eu descobri isso da pior maneira porque no lugar onde eu estou trabalhando não é permitido usar acessórios!) e eu fico mais que feliz de encontrar lugares como o Laços de Filó! Laços de Filó é uma loja online que vende acessórios quase exclusivos feitos à mão. Tudo que eles vendem lá parece um sonho e eu quero ter tudinho! Esses são alguns dos meus favoritos.

Too bad many pieces are sold out. It happens cause they don’t make many of the same piece and it sells fast cause it’s easy to fall in love with it. They ship to Brazil only I suppose (will look for information about it if anyone’s interested). Maybe they’ll get an Etsy shop if we ask? ;)

É uma pena que muitas das peças estão esgotadas. Isso acontece porque eles não fazem muitas peças do mesmo modelo e porque todo mundo se apaixona e compra rápido. Eles enviam pra qualquer lugar e não tenho certeza se enviam pra outras partes do mundo (se algupem quiser saber eu posso entrar em contato com eles). Talvez eles possam criar uma loja no Etsy se a gente pedir né? ;)
