My outfit for tomorrow

Well not really what I’m going to wear but more like what I’d like to wear for my day at classes and internship tomorrow. Instead I’ll just wear jeans, converse, white shirt and a smock. #dreamingisgood

Keep track of the movies you watch

There are good sites to keep track of the books we read and TV shows we watch but till yesterday I didn’t know any good sites to keep track of movies. On ICheckMovies you can list movies you watched, list your favourites and the ones you want to watch. It’s organized, functional and pretty (which is a plus cause there are a lot of ugly sites around lately!). You can also win awards if you watch a lot of movies. The only thing I didn’t like is that I couldn’t find 70% of the movies I watched there! But on overall it’s a great site and I’ll probably use it a lot!

Add me!

I keep a manual list on LiveJournal of the films I watch every year and I’ll continue with it cause I love to make the balance of my year through the movies I watched :)

Say you don’t want it

I had heard about that band before but only now I have actually noticed their work. All because Emma Watson my-all-time-inspiration is on their new video ‘Say you don’t want it’. If you like The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys and other British bands (<3) you have a great chance of enjoying their music.

Vogue Australia’s most pretty photoshoot

I’m very critical about photoshoots cause they tend to always want to make something different, bizarre and exaggerated and they hardly ever please my eyes. But this one is different, the model is very pretty, the colours are soft and the photos is simple. My favourite kind of photoshoot! This one was made for Vogue Australia’s April issue.

The most important things…

kitty

The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of because words diminish your feelings - words shrink things that seem timeless when they are in your head to no more than living size when they are brought out.

Coolest sneakers ever

The young designer Daniel Reese takes the ordinary Nike shoes and transform it into cool unique pieces using themes like games, web, music, movies and etc. They’re kind of pricey ($260) but it’s worth if you have the money. Needless to say I want it all (except for the Kill Bill shoes cause I hate the movie with all I have). You can find many more on his site.

If a pug can do it, so can you

Mirella posted this on twitter and I think it’s definitely worth sharing. The video shows simple actions for the benefit of our planet. I’m sure everyone saw that. But this time it’s a cute Pug who sorts paper from plastic, goes vegetarian, rides mass transit and etc. If a pug can do it, so can you!

The Runaways

Hi Romantics! Finally I had some time to sit and watch a movie! Alleluia :D This review may seem late to many of you but the movie will only be released in some countries by September or November. Can you believe it?! I couldn’t wait that long so here’s my review.

I confess I thought the images on the film were quite scary some times. I don’t think all that Bowie style. And what about those boots? And all those weird hairs? Kind of funny. It must have been fun for them and I think it also shows how actors must let vanity behind in jobs like these.

The kiss scene which I thought I wasn’t going to approve was quite good actually. I loooooooove the girl power thing so the film had scored points for me even before I watched it. And the girls were so similar to the real ones!

Dakota Fanning was great as always and Kristen Stewart was great acting as I tomboy which didn’t seem difficult for her (because she is very talented :P). I always think Kristen is great except when she plays Bella but that’s a whole other story.

I really liked Joan Jett’s introspetive moments, thinking of lyrics and playing melodies by herself. It’s good that the film gave the necessary importance to Cherie but I liked it even more cause it showed that Joan was the real essence of the band. She was the soul of that music and the one that gave 100% of herself for the band.

So overall I liked the film. Recommend :)

P.S: it’s incredible how young Joan Jett still looks after using drugs for so long!

You can choose to learn these lessons

If you have a situation in your life right now that is less joyful than you want it to be, realize that it is teaching you important lessons. If you are in a crisis you may be reaching inward to the deepest part of your being and gaining a new strength and courage. You can choose to learn these lessons and gain these qualities with joy. Simply stop for a moment and make the decision to do so. Things may not change overnight, but they will change.
