Iron & Wine is the stage name used by Samuel Beam an American folk rock singer-songwriter. He said his stage name came from a dietary supplement named “Beef Iron & Wine” that he found in a general store. Weird! I admired the name more before I got to know its origins hehehe! Well I guess inspiration can come from everywhere right?
I got to know Iron & Wine’s music through the film Twilight with the song Flightless Bird, American Mouth which everyone knows and loves. So I searched for more of his music and instantly feel in love with Naked as We Came from the album Our Endless Numbered Days released in 2004. This is one of the songs I use to calm me down whenever I’m stressed. In fact I made a list of calm relaxing songs to listen to while reading books. Would you like me to share the list (just the artists name and titles of the songs)?
The video is…interesting I’d say.
I love ‘Iron an Wine’. One of my best friends made me a mix tape (CD) when I was in my first year of college, and it had Passing Afternoon, which is still one of my favorite songs. So soft and sweet. :)

Oh mix tapes! How I miss those! They’re so rare nowadays.
I don’t know this one. I’ll look for it :)
I adore Iron and Wine. You should check out their cover of “Such Great Heights” as well as “Cinder and Smoke” Those are two of my favorite songs. I wasn’t aware they were on the Twilight Soundtrack.

I will look for those!
His song Flightless Bird, American Mouth plays during the big-kiss-grand-finale scene of the first movie. It makes it all look magical :)
I love Iron & Wine! His music is so soothing and effortlessly beautiful. “Love and Some Verses” is my favourite song followed by “Such Great Heights”.
