Book: Fallen

When I first started reading Fallen I thought it was quite the ordinary story with the girl, the good romantic perfect guy, the bad guy and all that. But it turned out to be quite different since in some point of the story you start doubting who’s on the bad side and who’s on the good side. Everyone becomes a possible danger and that question gives a special thrill to the book.
I even found myself rooting for the bad guy at some point! Cam is a one of the most interesting and well written characters of the story. His description makes you imagine very clearly his figure and actions which made him very real.
I found myself having trouble picturing Daniel (the good guy) cause the book describes him blonde but my mind insists on picture him with dark hair! My mind is a kind of an uncontrolable thing. I imagine him kind of like a young version of Stephen Moyer. What can I do? Hehehe!
Lucinda Price (Luce) on the other hand didn’t have much time to act on this book and spends the whole story mostly trying to figure out what’s going on with her life since Trevor (her almost boyfriend) died in a fire and she gets sent to a reform school cause everyone suspect she’s crazy. That’s a lot to deal with and totally understandable the lack of actions and big decisions. Even having to cope with so much plus the getting settled in a new school it’s clear she’s more than just ordinary girl. My Luce looks like Carey Mulligan.
Must I comment about the cover?! Cause I think it’s brilliant! Specially if we compare to all the poorly made covers we’ve seen lately.
It’s hard to have to wait a minute to start reading the nest book Torment cause just like Luce we are left with a lot of mysteries unsolved, half explained stories and knowing something big is to happen.
It’s a fantastic book! In fact on of the best I’ve read in a while!
The Fallen series will have 4 books (Fallen, Torment, Passion and Rapture) so expect some great reading moments ahead!

Quando eu comecei a ler Fallen eu pensei que seria mais uma história comum e cheia de cliches com a mocinha, o cara perfeito e romântico, o vilão e etc. Mas essa situação muda já que em um ponto da história você começa a questionar quem está do lado bom e quem não está. Todo mundo começa a representar uma ameaça e isso dá uma espectativa especial para o leitor.
Eu confesso que até torci para o vilão em várias passagens do livro! Cam é um dos personagens mais interessantes e bem escritos da história. A descrição dada a esse personagem possibilita que o leitor imagine sua figura e ações muito o que o torna muito real.
Eu tive problemas para imaginar o Daniel, não por causa da descrição mas porque eu não consigo controlar minha imaginação! O livro o descreve loiro mas eu só consigo o imaginar de cabelo escuro. Eu o imagino como uma versão mais jovem do Stephen Moyer. Fazer o que é? Hehehe!
Lucinda Price (Luce) por outro lado não teve muito tempo livre nesse livro já que passa todo o tempo tentando entender sua vida desde que Trevor (seu quase namorado) morreu em um incêndio e ela sendo a suspeita mais provavel de sua morte é mandanda para um colégio interno. Todas essas informações e conflitos justificam a falta de ação da personagem. Mesmo tendo que lidar com tanta coisa e ainda se familiarizar com a nova escola fica claro que Luce é muito amis que uma garota comum. Minha Luce se parece com a Carey Mulligan.
Será que eu preciso de comentar a capa?! Porque eu acho fantástica! Especialmente se compararmos com as muitas outras capas que temos visto ultimamente que são bem fraquinhas.
É difícil ter que esperar qualquer minuto para ler o próximo livro Torment pois assim como Luce somos deixados com uma série de perguntas e mistérios não resolvidos e sabendo que algo significante está prestes a acontecer.
É um livro fantástico! Um dos melhores que eu li ultimamente!
A série Fallen terá 4 livros (Fallen, Torment, Passion e Rapture) então prepara-se para várias horas de ótima leitura pela frente!

Nossa, foi um dos melhores que eu li também. Já estou ansiosa para os próximos e eu nem sabia os nomes dos dois últimos. Adorei! E também torci pro Cam em certas partes, não tem como! E confesso que ainda estou na dúvida! E sabe que eu também não consigo imaginar o Daniel loiro? E que fofa, Carey Mulligan. Ela me lembra a Emma agora haha!
Uma coisa que eu achei interessante nesses livros, são as capas maravilhosas. São muito liiiindas!

Eu acabei de ler Torment hoje. Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuito bom! Melhor ainda que Fallen! O ruim é que não se tem notícia de quando o terceiro livro vai ser lançado.
Tem altas fotos e relatos da Lauren Kate se divertindo a beça pra divulgar os livros e enquanto isso a gente aqui sofrendo de esperar hehehe!

ganhei este livro de aniversário, mas ainda não li… tenho certeza que é ótimo, porque muitas pessoas já falaram muito bem sobre esse livro, mas tenho alguns outros na fila para ler. mas tudo bem, até porque tenho certeza de que quando terminar de ler este, vou querer ler os outros, então vou esperar até que o próximo esteja perto de ser lançado… eles já tem alguma data?

I myself had trouble picturing Daniel as blonde too. Actually I even forgot until I read this review lol. What hair does Cam have? Because I picture him blonde.
And yeah, the cover is very luring, isn’t it?
Overall I actually didn’t like the book but it was worth to try it. I’ll give another chance to the next one.
Although I really think the writer has to improve in her writing.
