Good afternoon Romantics! I come bearing a pretty song today! I intend on posting a song each week depending on your response. It’s a good way to remember about old songs and discover new stuff all together!
When I like a song I listen to it over and over again till I learn the lyrics and can have it on my mind whenever I want. Are you like that? This happened to this song. It’s called Honey and the Moon from Joseph Arthur. Hope you like it :)
Music is what moves me. I need music when I’m happy, when I’m sad, when I’m busy or not, on summer, on winter, when I’m angry (specially when I’m angry), when I want to ignore problems, when I want to celebrate, when I need to think and etc.
I’ll share a song which has an immense power to soothe me. Specially if I had an hectic day I like to listen to it before going to bed. It’s called Bella Luna by Jason Mraz. And if you want to see some of Jason’s awesomeness singing Bella Luna head this way.
Lykke Li is the stage name of Li Lykkdo Timotej Zachrisson (wow how do you pronounce that?!), a 23 year-old Swedish indie singer. He has only one released album till now but seems to be pleasing everybody with it. Her song Possibility is part of New Moon soundtrack and in my opinion is one of the best songs of that album. Check out her version of Little Bit which is great!
Jason Mraz is just what I needed to give me gas, energy, positivity and encouragement to keep standing on to the things I believe it.
I knew his music for a long time ever since a dear friend of mine said ‘look how cute this guy and video are’ and gave me the link to watch ‘You and I Both’ on youtube. I usually don’t go looking for artists lives on internet so I knew his music but didn´t know anything about him. When I heard he was coming to make a show in my town (it made me feel special somehow cause nobody ever comes here!) I started looking for info on the web and found his twitter (I’m a twitter addict!) and his blog.
Reading his blog is like breathing fresh air. He talks about many things in a simple, unique way. He reflects about simple issues and his ideals are pretty similar to mine. You have to read to know what I’m trying to say here!
The show was last night and was the last show of The Gratitude Cafe Tour. It was awesome, the guy is amazing and he and the band sound perfect live. Imagine my happiness when I came home from the show to find that Jason posted a pic in this twitter of his last tour show. And guess who’s in the pic?!?! ME!
And you can see here the best moment of the night (in my opinion) – The Dynamo of Volition – with Jason’s little funny dances, crowd interaction, going crazy and losing his cap.
p.s: I’m almost on holidays! And this means I’ll blog much more soon!
p.s.2: I have orkut invites. Interested?
Now THAT was cool! It totally compensates from She Wolf’s video cause I didn´t like it much. I like that her work isn´t too much all the time like gaga we see nowadays. She’s so talented!
Please ignore the tag on the video. Every other link I found was unavailable to post elsewhere.
Did you notice the layout change? There are still a some things to do about it but it’s almost ready!
